Information for job seekers.

In order to help me identify any vacancies that are suitable for you I need the fullest information possible about you and what you are looking for (ship type, trip length and minimum salary/day rate expectations). If there is any type of ship you would definitely like to avoid, that information would also help. It is also useful to know of any shipping companies that you have applied to directly, and when.

As a bare minimum I need a complete cv (which would need to be kept updated), copies of all your in date certificates, photocopies of the pages from your discharge/seamans book showing personal information, training record and your last 5 years sea service, and a copy of the information page from your passport. A sheet showing your last 5 years sea service with information about ship types, owners/managers etc would also be useful as this information cannot always be assessed from your discharge book. (Please note that this is additional to your discharge book copies and not instead of.)
